The Mattamy National Cycling Centre – Canada’s Home for Track Cycling
All designated routes for the Peloton Ride begin and end outside of the main entrance to the Mattamy National Cycling Centre, Milton Velodrome. From there, you will cycle into escarpment country and some of the most varied and picturesque routes in Southern Ontario. Enjoy memorable scenery, endless farmscapes and quaint towns situated along the impressive rock face of the Niagara Escarpment. And, soon you’ll know why Halton is known as the “Home of Cycling in Ontario”.
Food, entertainment, and festival activities are also taking place outside the main doors of the Mattamy National Cycling Centre. The only velodrome of its kind in Canada and only the second in North America, the doors will be open and event attendees are welcome to check it out and the many activities taking place inside.
The Mattamy National Cycling Centre serves as both a community recreation facility and a venue for provincial, national and international events. This impressive venue offers a variety of track programming and training opportunities for cycling enthusiasts of all ages/skill levels.
